A Distinct Identity
Here at Urban Reins Riding Academy, we are driven by a single goal; use the power of horses to expand opportunities for urban children. Urban Reins Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Wyoma Williams. Our goal is to teach urban youth how to care for horses and introduce them to riding as a way to develop skills that will set them up for future success.
Our Vision
Urban Rein's vision is to give urban youth a safe and enriching experience that furthers their future development. Horses have the ability to teach children important traits, including perseverance, responsible risk-taking, confidence, self-control and teamwork.

Our Equestrian program provides youth ages 8-16 the opportunity to learn horsemanship and riding skills without the expense of leasing or owning a horse.
While most programs around the country take the children out of the city, Urban Reins has remodeled this approach by adding the ability to take the horses to the children. Rather than remove children from their environment, Urban Reins also helps to create opportunities within local neighborhoods.

Become a Sponsor
Your sponsorship support helps Urban Reins care for our horses and provide pro-bono services for youth to experience the joy of horsemanship who may otherwise not be able to afford the experience.
